The TIN Check Variant allows users to define the rules for how the TIN should be checked, such as which countries’ TINs should be checked and which validation methods should be used. 
  
  Step-by-step How to Use: 
  1. Enter transaction code S_EBJ_98000699 into the command field in SAP. 
  2. The IMG Activity V_TINCV_VAR will open. 
  3. Select “Maintain Tax Information Number Check Variant” from the list of activities. 
  4. Select a country from the list of countries and click “Create” to create a new check variant for that country. 
  5. Enter a name for the check variant and select a validation method from the drop-down list. 
  6. Click “Save” to save your changes and activate the check variant. 
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 for each country you wish to create a check variant for. 
  8. Click “Back” to return to the main IMG Activity screen and click “Exit” to exit the IMG Activity screen.
