  Overview:
  The SAP transaction code MD40 is used to run the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) planning run. This planning run is used to determine the material requirements for a given period of time. It takes into account the current stock levels, planned orders, and forecasted demand. The output of the planning run is a list of planned orders that can be used to replenish stock levels.

  1. Enter the transaction code MD40 in the command field.

  3. Select the “Planning Run” option from the menu bar. 
  4. Select the “Execute” button to start the MRP planning run. 
  5. The output of the MRP planning run will be displayed in a list format with details such as material number, quantity, and date of delivery for each planned order. 
  6. Select the “Save” button to save the output of the MRP
