  • Key Concepts:
Check out is a process in SAP Transportation Management (TM) that allows users to reserve a shipment for a certain period of time. This ensures that the shipment is not changed or modified by other users while it is being worked on. The check out process also allows users to view and edit the shipment details without affecting other users.

    How to use it:
To check out a shipment in SAP TM, users must first select the shipment they wish to work on. Then, they must click the “Check Out” button in the toolbar. This will lock the shipment and prevent other users from making changes to it. Once the user has finished working on the shipment, they must click the “Check In” button to unlock it and allow other users to access it.

    Tips & Tricks:
When checking out a shipment, make sure that you have all of the necessary information before you begin. This will help ensure that you don’t have to go back and make changes later on. Additionally, always remember to check in your shipments when you are done working on them so that other users can access them.
