What is calculation sheet in SAP TM - Transportation Management?

  • Description: A hierarchical table used to calculate transportation charges that is created independently of an agreement or rate table. A calculation sheet can therefore be used in multiple agreements or rate tables. The calculation sheet combines the charge types permitted for a document and the sequence in which the system takes these charge types into account during the calculation.

    Calculation sheets are used in SAP Transportation Management (TM) to define the cost components of a freight rate. They are used to calculate the cost of a shipment based on the parameters that are defined in the calculation sheet. The calculation sheet is made up of several components, such as the base rate, surcharges, discounts, and taxes. 
    
    How to use it: 
    Calculation sheets can be created in SAP TM by going to the “Calculation Sheets” tab in the “Freight Rates” section. Once there, you can create a new calculation sheet by clicking on the “Create” button. You will then be able to define the parameters for your calculation sheet, such as the base rate, surcharges, discounts, and taxes. Once you have defined all of these parameters, you can save your calculation sheet and it will be ready for use.

    When creating a calculation sheet in SAP TM, it is important to make sure that all of the parameters are correctly defined. This will ensure that your calculation sheet is accurate and will provide you with accurate cost estimates for your shipments. Additionally, it is important to keep your calculation sheets up-to-date with any changes in rates or taxes so that your cost estimates remain accurate.
