What is extended system ID in SAP SV-SMG - Solution Manager?

• Description: Identifies a managed technical system or product system in SAP , uniquely. In the System Landscape Directory SLD, technical systems with the same system ID SID are distinguished by their database host. In SAP , the extended system ID does this. The extended SID consists of the three-character SID followed by five alphanumeric characters. TREX systems start with 'TRX' and Wily Introscope systems with 'WLY', by default. A technical system can have different extended SIDs in different SAP systems.
