What is damaged test case in SAP SV-SMG-TWB - Test Management?


SAP Term: damaged test case

  • Component: SV-SMG-TWB

  • Component Name: Test Management

  • Description: A test case for which a tester created an incident, to report problems with the test case itself. The tester can report damaged test cases directly in his work list, by creating an incident. For an automatic test case, the test script needs to be corrected, for manual test cases, the document describing the process needs to be reviewed, by the test engineer.

  • Key Concepts: 
    A damaged test case is a test case that has been marked as damaged in SAP Solution Manager Test Management (SV-SMG-TWB). This means that the test case is not valid and cannot be used for testing. 
    
    How to use it: 
    In order to mark a test case as damaged, the user must first open the test case in SAP Solution Manager Test Management. Then, they must select the “Mark as Damaged” option from the menu. This will mark the test case as damaged and it will no longer be valid for testing. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    It is important to note that marking a test case as damaged does not delete it from the system. The test case can still be accessed and viewed, but it cannot be used for testing.
