Description: Function in which a company uses the Business Directory. There are two company roles: Purchaser and seller supplier.
Key Concepts: Company role is a feature of the SAP Supplier Directory (SRM-SUD) that allows users to assign roles to suppliers. This allows users to easily identify the type of supplier and the services they provide. For example, a company role could be “manufacturer” or “distributor”. How to use it: To assign a company role to a supplier, go to the SRM-SUD Supplier Directory and select the supplier you want to assign a role to. Then, select the “Company Role” tab and select the appropriate role from the drop-down menu. Once you have selected the role, click “Save” to save your changes. Tips & Tricks: It is important to assign accurate company roles to suppliers in order to ensure that they are properly identified and their services are accurately represented.
