What is held in SAP SRM-LA - Live Auction?

• Description: Object status indicating that the new object for example, an auction has not yet been subjected to system validation. Any auction that is created as a result of conversion for example, from a bid invitation will be saved as held and must be further processed by the initiator before bidding can begin.

  Held is a status in the SRM-LA Live Auction component of SAP. It indicates that the auction is currently on hold and no bids can be placed. This status is usually used when the auction is paused for a certain period of time, such as when the auctioneer needs to take a break or when there is a technical issue. 
  
  How to use it: 
  When an auction is put on hold, the status will be changed to “held”. This will prevent any further bids from being placed until the auction is resumed. The auctioneer can then resume the auction by changing the status back to “open”. 
  
  Tips & Tricks: 
  It is important to remember that when an auction is held, all bids that have been placed before the hold will still be valid. Therefore, it is important to keep track of all bids that have been placed before the hold in order to ensure that they are not forgotten when the auction resumes.
