  • Key Concepts:
Production Bills of Material Mass Maintenance is a component of SAP's Supply Chain Management (SCM) Master Data module. It allows users to quickly and easily maintain multiple bills of material (BOMs) at once. This includes creating, changing, and deleting BOMs in bulk. It also allows users to copy BOMs from one plant to another, as well as to create BOMs from existing material masters.

    How to Use It:
To use Production Bills of Material Mass Maintenance, users must first create a BOM group. This is a collection of BOMs that can be maintained together. Once the BOM group is created, users can then add BOMs to it. From there, they can make changes to the BOMs in bulk, such as changing the quantity of components or deleting entire BOMs. They can also copy BOMs from one plant to another, or create new BOMs from existing material masters.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a BOM group, it is important to make sure that all of the BOMs in the group are related in some way. This will make it easier to make changes in bulk and ensure that all of the changes are applied correctly. Additionally, when copying BOMs from one plant to another, it is important to make sure that all of the components are available in both plants before copying them over.
