  • Key Concepts: A planning area is a logical grouping of organizational objects in SAP. It is used to define the scope of an organizational plan and to assign objects to a plan. It is part of the Organizational Management (OM) component of SAP.
    How to use it: To create a planning area, go to the Organizational Management (OM) component in SAP and select the “Planning Areas” option. Enter the name of the planning area and select the objects that you want to include in it. Once you have saved the planning area, you can assign it to an organizational plan.
    Tips & Tricks: When creating a planning area, make sure that all of the objects that you want to include are selected. This will ensure that all of the necessary information is included in the plan. Additionally, make sure that you save your changes after creating or editing a planning area.
