Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Posting order is a feature in SAP Time Management that allows you to define the order in which time data is posted to the payroll system. This feature is useful for ensuring that the most important time data is posted first, and that any errors or discrepancies are identified and corrected before the payroll system is updated.

    How to use it:
To use the posting order feature, you must first define the order in which time data should be posted. This can be done by creating a posting order profile in the Time Management configuration. Once the profile has been created, it can be assigned to an employee or group of employees. When time data is entered for these employees, it will be posted according to the defined posting order.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a posting order profile, it is important to consider which types of time data are most important and should be posted first. For example, if overtime hours are more important than regular hours, then overtime hours should be listed first in the posting order profile.
