    The Preceding Document ID is automatically generated when a new document is created in SAP CRM. It can be found in the header of the document and is used to link documents together. For example, if a customer creates an order, the Preceding Document ID of that order will be linked to the customer’s account.

    The Preceding Document ID can be used to quickly find related documents. For example, if you need to find all orders associated with a customer, you can search for the customer’s account using the Preceding Document ID.
