Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Simulate import is a feature of the SAP Data Migration Cockpit (DMC) that allows users to test the data migration process before actually importing the data. This feature allows users to check for any errors or inconsistencies in the data before it is imported into the system.

    How to use it:
To use the simulate import feature, users must first create a migration object in the DMC. This object contains all of the necessary information about the data that needs to be imported, such as source and target tables, mapping rules, and transformation rules. Once this object is created, users can then select the “Simulate Import” option from the DMC menu. This will run a simulation of the import process and display any errors or inconsistencies that may occur during the actual import process.

    Tips & Tricks:
When using the simulate import feature, it is important to check for any errors or inconsistencies in the data before actually importing it into the system. This will help ensure that all of the data is imported correctly and without any issues. Additionally, it is important to make sure that all of the mapping and transformation rules are correct before running a simulation.
