  • Description: An NF-e event that informs the government and NF-e receivers about incorrect information contained in an NF-e already authorized by the government. The event author for an electronic correction letter is the NF-e issuer. In Portuguese, this NF-e event is known as Carta de Correção eletrônica.

    An electronic correction letter (ECL) is a document issued by the Brazilian government to correct errors in an electronic invoice, known as a Nota Fiscal Electronica (NFe). The ECL is issued by the Secretaria da Fazenda (Sefaz) and contains information about the errors that need to be corrected. 
    
    How to use it: 
    In order to use an ECL, the user must first identify the errors in the NFe. Once the errors have been identified, the user must then enter the information from the ECL into SAP SLL-NFE. This will allow SAP SLL-NFE to generate a new NFe with the corrected information. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    It is important to ensure that all of the information from the ECL is entered correctly into SAP SLL-NFE. If any of the information is incorrect, it could lead to further errors in the new NFe.
