What is disqualifying question in SAP SLC-EVL - Supplier Evaluation?

  • Component Name: Supplier Evaluation

  • Description: A question in a supplier evaluation or supplier qualification questionnaire. If the answer given to a disqualifying question does not meet the purchaser's expectations, the supplier is disqualified. Disqualification is not carried out automatically by the system, however. Purchasers can decide what action to take, for example, not to do business with a supplier or lowering the supplier's status.

    A disqualifying question is a type of question used in the Supplier Evaluation component of SAP SLC-EVL. This type of question is used to determine whether a supplier should be disqualified from the evaluation process. The answer to a disqualifying question must be either “yes” or “no”, and if the answer is “yes”, the supplier will be disqualified from the evaluation process. 
    
    How to use it: 
    In order to use a disqualifying question in the Supplier Evaluation component of SAP SLC-EVL, you must first create the question in the system. Once you have created the question, you can assign it to a specific supplier evaluation process. When the supplier is evaluated, they will be asked the disqualifying question and their answer will determine whether they are disqualified from the evaluation process or not. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When creating a disqualifying question, make sure that it is clear and concise so that suppliers understand what they are being asked. Additionally, make sure that the answer to the question is either “yes” or “no” so that there is no ambiguity about whether or not a supplier should be disqualified from the evaluation process. 
    
    Related Information: 
    The Supplier Evaluation component of SAP SLC-EVL also includes other types of questions such as rating questions and open-ended questions. These types of questions can be used to gain more detailed information about a supplier’s performance and capabilities.
