SAP Term: Manage Planning Notes

Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Manage Planning Notes is a feature of SAP's Integrated Business Planning (IBP) component. It allows users to create, edit, and delete notes associated with planning objects such as products, customers, and locations. The notes can be used to provide additional information about the planning object or to track changes made to the object.

    How to use it:
To create a note, users must first select the planning object they wish to add a note to. Once selected, they can click the “Create Note” button in the top right corner of the screen. This will open a window where users can enter their note. Once saved, the note will be visible on the planning object’s page. To edit or delete a note, users must select the note from the list of notes associated with the planning object and then click either the “Edit” or “Delete” button.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating notes, it is important to include as much detail as possible. This will help ensure that all relevant information is captured and that any changes made to the planning object are tracked accurately. Additionally, it is important to keep notes organized by using labels or tags so that they can be easily searched for later.
