  • Key Concepts:
PEG stands for Product and Event Grouping. It is a feature of SAP's Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) solutions that allows users to group products and events together for easier analysis and planning. PEGs are used to group items that have similar characteristics, such as product type, supplier, or customer. This allows users to quickly identify trends and patterns in their supply chain data.

    How to use it:
To use PEGs, users must first create a PEG in the SCM-IBP-RM system. This can be done by selecting the “Create PEG” option from the menu. Once the PEG is created, users can add items to it by selecting the “Add Item” option from the menu. Users can also edit existing PEGs by selecting the “Edit PEG” option from the menu.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a PEG, it is important to consider how items will be grouped together. For example, grouping items by product type may be more useful than grouping them by supplier or customer. Additionally, it is important to consider how often the PEG will need to be updated as new items are added or removed from the supply chain.
