It is a graphical representation of the planning horizon, which is the time period for which a plan is made. The outer-border arc is used to define the start and end dates of the planning horizon. 
  
  How to use it: 
  The outer-border arc can be used to set the planning horizon in the Planning Framework component of SCM-IBP. To do this, select the “Planning Horizon” option from the menu and then select “Outer-Border Arc”. This will open a window where you can enter the start and end dates for the planning horizon. Once you have entered these dates, click “OK” to save your changes. 
  
  Tips & Tricks: 
  When setting up the outer-border arc, it is important to consider the length of your planning horizon. The longer your planning horizon, the more accurate your plan will be. However, if your planning horizon is too long, it may become difficult to manage and update your plan.
