Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Location split is a feature in SAP's Demand Management component of the Supply Chain Management - Integrated Business Planning (SCM-IBP) suite. It allows users to split a single demand plan into multiple locations, allowing for more granular control over the demand planning process. This feature is especially useful for companies with multiple warehouses or distribution centers, as it allows them to plan for each location separately.

    How to use it:
To use the location split feature, users must first create a demand plan in the Demand Management component of SCM-IBP. Once the plan is created, users can then select the “Split by Location” option from the menu. This will open a new window where users can select which locations they want to split the plan into. Once selected, the plan will be split into separate plans for each location.

    Tips & Tricks:
When using the location split feature, it is important to remember that each location will have its own demand plan. This means that any changes made to one location’s plan will not affect the other locations’ plans. Additionally, it is important to keep in mind that each location’s plan must be updated separately in order for changes to take effect.
