  • Component Name: Extended Warehouse Management

  • Description: Instructions on how storage bins should be defined during generation by the system. The following characters can be used during the definition: "N" for a numeric character between zero and nine "A" for a single-character alphabetic character "C" for a character that is constant for all storage bins

  • Key Concepts: 
    A template in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SCM-EWM) is a predefined set of data that can be used to quickly create new objects. Templates are used to save time and effort when creating new objects, as they provide a starting point with all the necessary information already filled in. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To use a template in SAP EWM, first select the object type you want to create. Then, select the template you want to use from the list of available templates. Once you have selected the template, you can modify any of the fields as needed. Finally, save the object and it will be created using the template data. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When creating a new object using a template, make sure to double-check all of the fields to ensure that they are correct and up-to-date. Additionally, if you are creating multiple objects of the same type, consider creating a custom template with all of your desired settings so that you don’t have to manually enter them each time.
