  • Key Concepts:
A slow-moving item is an item in a warehouse that has not been sold or moved for a long period of time. It is usually identified by its low sales volume or low inventory turnover rate. In SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SCM-EWM), slow-moving items are tracked and managed to ensure that they do not become obsolete or take up too much space in the warehouse.

    How to use it:
In SAP EWM, slow-moving items can be identified by running a report that shows the sales volume and inventory turnover rate for each item. This report can be used to identify items that have not been sold or moved for a long period of time. Once identified, these items can be managed by setting up a reorder point, setting up a minimum stock level, or setting up an expiration date.

    Tips & Tricks:
It is important to regularly review the report of slow-moving items to ensure that they are being managed properly. Additionally, it is important to review the expiration dates of slow-moving items to ensure that they are not becoming obsolete.
