  • Key Concepts:
PFD factor stands for “Put-away Factor” and is a parameter used in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). It is used to determine the optimal storage bin for a material when it is put away. The PFD factor is calculated based on the material’s characteristics, such as size, weight, and volume.

    How to use it:
The PFD factor is used to determine the optimal storage bin for a material when it is put away. The system calculates the PFD factor based on the material’s characteristics, such as size, weight, and volume. The higher the PFD factor, the more suitable the storage bin is for the material. The system then uses this information to determine which storage bin should be used for the material.

    Tips & Tricks:
When setting up the PFD factor, it is important to consider the characteristics of the material that will be stored in the storage bin. For example, if a material is large and heavy, then a higher PFD factor should be set in order to ensure that it is stored in an appropriate storage bin.

    Related Information:
The PFD factor can also be used to determine which storage type should be used for a particular material. For example, if a material requires special handling or needs to be stored in a specific temperature range, then a different storage type may need to be selected in order to ensure that these requirements are met.
