Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Bin Access Type is a feature in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SCM-EWM) that allows users to control the access to a particular bin. It is used to define the type of access that is allowed for a particular bin, such as read-only, write-only, or both. This feature helps to ensure that only authorized personnel have access to certain bins and that the data stored in them is secure.

    How to use it:
To use Bin Access Type, users must first create a bin access type in the system. This can be done by navigating to the “Bin Access Type” tab in the SCM-EWM application and selecting “Create”. Once the bin access type has been created, it can then be assigned to a particular bin by selecting the “Assign” button. The user can then select which type of access they would like to grant for that particular bin.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a bin access type, it is important to consider who will need access to the bin and what type of access they will need. For example, if only certain personnel need read-only access, then it may be best to create a separate bin access type for them. Additionally, it is important to remember that once a bin access type has been assigned to a bin, it cannot be changed without first deleting the existing assignment and creating a new one.
