Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Shipment Priority is a feature of SAP Supply Network Planning (SNP) that allows users to prioritize shipments based on their importance. This feature allows users to assign a priority level to each shipment, which will then be taken into account when the system is calculating the optimal shipment plan. The higher the priority level, the more likely it is that the shipment will be included in the plan.

    How to use it:
To use the Shipment Priority feature, users must first assign a priority level to each shipment. This can be done by selecting the “Priority” field in the shipment details screen and entering a value from 1-10, with 1 being the highest priority and 10 being the lowest. Once this is done, users can then run an optimization process which will take into account the priority levels assigned to each shipment and generate an optimal shipment plan.

    Tips & Tricks:
When assigning priority levels to shipments, it is important to consider both the urgency of the shipment and its importance in relation to other shipments. For example, if a shipment is urgent but not particularly important, it may be better to assign it a lower priority level than if it was both urgent and important.

    Related Information:
Shipment Priority is just one of many features available in SAP Supply Network Planning (SNP). Other features include Capacity Planning, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain Optimization. All of these features work together to help users create an optimal supply chain plan that meets their needs.
