  • Key Concepts:
Setup matrix is a feature of the Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPS) component of SAP's Supply Chain Management (SCM) application. It is used to define the setup times for different production orders and resources. Setup times are the amount of time it takes to switch from one production order to another, or from one resource to another.

    How to use it:
The setup matrix is used to define the setup times for different production orders and resources. This information is then used by the PPS component to calculate the most efficient production plan. To use the setup matrix, you must first define the setup times for each production order and resource. This can be done manually or by importing data from an external source. Once the setup times have been defined, they can be used in the PPS component to calculate the most efficient production plan.

    Tips & Tricks:
When defining setup times, it is important to consider both the time it takes to switch from one production order to another, as well as the time it takes to switch from one resource to another. Additionally, it is important to consider any additional time that may be required for setup activities such as cleaning or maintenance.
