SAP Term: deployment

  • Component: SCM-APO-PPS

  • Key Concepts:
Deployment is the process of making a Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPS) system available for use. It involves configuring the system to meet the specific needs of the organization, such as setting up the data model, creating master data, and defining the planning parameters.

    How to use it:
Deployment of a PPS system begins with an analysis of the organization’s current processes and requirements. This analysis is used to create a detailed plan for configuring the system. Once the plan is in place, the configuration process can begin. This includes setting up the data model, creating master data, and defining the planning parameters. Once all of these steps are complete, the system can be tested and put into production.

    Tips & Tricks:
When deploying a PPS system, it is important to ensure that all of the necessary steps are taken. This includes verifying that all of the data is accurate and that all of the parameters are set correctly.
