  • Key Concepts:
Blocked capacity is a term used in the Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPS) component of SAP's Supply Chain Management (SCM) module. It refers to the capacity of a production resource that is not available for use due to certain constraints, such as maintenance or lack of raw materials.

    How to use it:
In order to use blocked capacity, you must first identify the production resources that are affected by the constraints. Once identified, you can then set up a blocked capacity profile in the PPS component of SCM. This profile will allow you to specify the amount of capacity that is blocked and the duration of the blockage.

    Tips & Tricks:
When setting up a blocked capacity profile, it is important to consider the impact that the blockage will have on other production resources. For example, if one resource is blocked, it may affect the availability of other resources that are dependent on it.
