  • Key Concepts:
Phased check is a feature of the Maintenance and Service Planning (MSP) component of SAP's Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) module. It is used to check the feasibility of a planned maintenance or service activity before it is executed. The phased check process consists of two steps: a pre-check and a post-check. The pre-check is used to verify that the planned activity can be executed without any conflicts or errors, while the post-check is used to ensure that the planned activity has been successfully completed.

    How to use it:
To use the phased check feature, first select the maintenance or service activity that you want to check. Then, select the “Phased Check” option from the menu. This will open a window where you can enter the parameters for the pre-check and post-check. Once you have entered all of the necessary information, click “Run” to execute the phased check process.

    Tips & Tricks:
When running a phased check, it is important to make sure that all of the parameters are correct. If any of the parameters are incorrect, it could lead to errors or conflicts during the execution of the planned activity. Additionally, it is important to remember that a successful pre-check does not guarantee that the planned activity will be successful; it only indicates that there are no conflicts or errors in the parameters.
