The setup activity or processing activity of an other operation cannot be scheduled between the activities carried out on the resource for an operation. Primary resources, such as bottleneck resources, must be scheduled in detail. In Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling PP/DS, there are specific detailed scheduling functions such as setup optimization, campaign for planning or block planning. In addition to primary resources, secondary resources can be used to carry out an activity.
