Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Planning buckets profile is a feature of SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) Cross-Application Components. It is used to define the planning buckets that are used in the planning process. Planning buckets are used to group together similar items, such as products, materials, or resources, for the purpose of planning.

    How to use it:
To use the planning buckets profile, you must first define the planning buckets that you want to use. This can be done in the APO Cross-Application Components by selecting the “Planning Buckets Profile” option from the menu. You can then define the parameters for each planning bucket, such as the type of item (product, material, or resource), the size of the bucket, and any other relevant information. Once you have defined your planning buckets, you can then assign them to specific items in your system.

    Tips & Tricks:
When defining your planning buckets, it is important to consider how they will be used in the planning process. For example, if you are using them to group together similar items for forecasting purposes, then it may be beneficial to create larger buckets that contain more items. On the other hand, if you are using them for scheduling purposes, then smaller buckets may be more appropriate.
