Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Product allocation groups are used in SAP's Global Available-to-Promise (ATP) component of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) module. They are used to define the rules for allocating products to customers. This includes defining which products can be allocated to which customers, as well as the order in which they should be allocated.

    How to use it:
Product allocation groups are created in the SAP system and assigned to customers. When a customer places an order, the system will check the product allocation group assigned to them and use it to determine which products can be allocated to them and in what order. This ensures that customers get the products they need in a timely manner.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating product allocation groups, it is important to consider the customer's needs and preferences. For example, if a customer prefers certain products over others, it may be beneficial to create a product allocation group that prioritizes those products. Additionally, it is important to consider any restrictions or limitations that may apply when allocating products.
