user-defined field - Details

  • Key Concepts: User-defined fields (UDFs) are custom fields that can be added to SAP Business One (SBO) to store additional information. UDFs are used to capture data that is not available in the standard fields of the system. They can be used to store customer-specific information, such as customer preferences or product details.
How to use it: UDFs can be created in the SBO system by going to the Administration menu and selecting User-Defined Fields. From there, you can create a new field and specify its type, length, and other properties. Once created, UDFs can be added to forms and reports in the system.
Tips & Tricks: When creating UDFs, it is important to consider how they will be used in the system. For example, if you are creating a field for customer preferences, you may want to make it a drop-down list so that users can easily select the appropriate option.
