What is event-to-action engine in SAP SBN-LBN-GTT - ?

SAP Term: event-to-action engine

  • Component: SBN-LBN-GTT

  • Component Name:

  • Description: Global Track and Trace SCM-LBN-GTT A tool that automatically triggers actions if certain events are processed for a tracked process or object. Solution administrators define and activate event-to-action rules for metadata models using the GTT Model Management GMM app. Multiple rule services are provided for common event scenarios. The data objects and the attributes used by rules are extracted from deployed GTT metadata models. For example, the event-to-action engine can be defined with rules to update the status of a tracked object, based on its delivery date. If a new delivery date is recorded which exceeds the time window defined for the tracked object event, then the engine updates the delivery status of the object to critically delayed action.
