  • Key Concepts:
Limit deviation is a Quality Management (QM) component in SAP that allows users to define the acceptable range of deviation from a target value. This range is used to determine whether a quality inspection result is within the acceptable limits or not. The limit deviation can be set for both characteristics and specifications.

    How to use it:
In order to use limit deviation, users must first define the target value and the acceptable range of deviation from that target value. This can be done in the Quality Management (QM) module of SAP. Once the target value and acceptable range have been defined, users can then enter quality inspection results into SAP and compare them to the target value and acceptable range. If the result is within the acceptable range, it will be accepted; if not, it will be rejected.

    Tips & Tricks:
When setting up limit deviation in SAP, it is important to ensure that the target value and acceptable range are set correctly. This will ensure that only results within the acceptable range are accepted, and that any results outside of this range are rejected. Additionally, it is important to regularly review and update the target value and acceptable range as needed in order to ensure that they remain accurate.
