What is transfer wage type in SAP PY - Payroll?

  • Description: A secondary wage type containing the amount paid to the employee in the appropriate currency after the payroll has run. In the standard system, the technical name of the transfer wage type is /559.

    Transfer wage type is a feature in SAP Payroll (PY) that allows you to transfer wage types from one payroll period to another. This feature is useful when you need to transfer wages from one period to another, such as when an employee has worked overtime or has taken a leave of absence.

    To use the transfer wage type feature, you must first create a wage type in the payroll period that you want to transfer from. Then, you can select the wage type and enter the amount that you want to transfer. Finally, you can select the payroll period that you want to transfer the wages to and click “Transfer”. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When transferring wages, make sure that the wage type is valid for both payroll periods. Also, make sure that the amount being transferred is correct and that it matches the amount in the source payroll period.
