  • Key Concepts:
Discounting in SAP Payroll is the process of reducing an employee's salary or wages due to a specific reason. This could be due to a disciplinary action, a change in job duties, or any other reason that the employer deems necessary. Discounting can be done on a one-time basis or on a recurring basis.

    How to use it:
In SAP Payroll, discounting is done by entering the discount amount in the “Discount” field of the employee’s payroll record. The discount amount will then be deducted from the employee’s salary or wages for that pay period. The discount amount can also be entered as a percentage of the employee’s salary or wages.

    Tips & Tricks:
When entering a discount amount, it is important to ensure that the amount is correct and that it does not exceed the employee’s salary or wages for that pay period. It is also important to ensure that the discount amount is entered in the correct currency.
