  • Key Concepts:
Cumulation is a feature in SAP Payroll (PY) that allows for the accumulation of wage types over a period of time. This means that the wage types are added together and the total amount is paid out at the end of the period. This feature is useful for employees who receive regular payments, such as bonuses or overtime pay, as it allows them to receive the full amount at once instead of having to wait for each payment to be processed.

    How to use it:
To use cumulation in SAP Payroll, you must first set up a cumulation rule in the system. This rule will define which wage types should be accumulated and how often they should be paid out. Once the rule is set up, you can then assign it to an employee or group of employees. The system will then automatically accumulate the wage types and pay out the total amount at the end of the period.

    Tips & Tricks:
When setting up a cumulation rule, it is important to make sure that all of the wage types that should be accumulated are included in the rule. Additionally, it is important to make sure that the frequency of payment is set correctly so that employees receive their payments on time.
