  • Description: Determines how a voluntary deduction from an employee's remuneration is processed. The arrears characteristic determines how a deduction is processed if an employee's net remuneration is less than the sum of all deductions. You assign arrears characteristics to individual deduction wage types in Customizing for . &EXAMPLE& An arrears characteristic can stipulate that a deduction must be processed in full even if an employee's net remuneration consists of a negative amount as a result.
