    A work center is a logical grouping of resources in SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM). It is used to assign resources to tasks and activities, and to track the progress of those tasks.     Work centers are used to assign resources to tasks and activities in SAP PPM. When creating a task or activity, the user can select the work center that will be responsible for completing the task. The user can also assign individual resources from the work center to the task.     When creating a work center, it is important to consider how it will be used. For example, if the work center is for a physical location, it should include all of the resources that are located at that location. If the work center is for a virtual team or department, it should include all of the resources that are part of that team or department.
