  • Key Concepts:
Soft-booked is a term used in SAP's Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Cloud Resource Management (CLD-RES) component. It refers to the process of reserving resources for a project without actually assigning them to the project. This allows for more flexibility in resource management, as resources can be quickly and easily reallocated if needed.

    How to use it:
Soft-booking is done through the Resource Management module of the PPM-CLD-RES component. To soft-book a resource, simply select the resource from the list of available resources and click the “Soft Book” button. This will reserve the resource for the project without actually assigning it.

    Tips & Tricks:
When soft-booking resources, it is important to keep track of which resources are soft-booked and which are actually assigned to a project. This will help ensure that resources are not overbooked or double-booked, which can lead to delays and other issues.
