  A set in SAP Production Planning and Control (PP) is a collection of materials, components, or operations that are grouped together for a specific purpose.   In SAP PP, sets are created in the Set Maintenance (transaction code OMS2) screen. Here, you can define the components of a set and assign them to a set type. You can also assign a set to a production order in the Order Master Data (transaction code MD04) screen.
