What is OPC event in SAP PP-PI - Production Planning for Process Industries?

  • Description: Message that OPC Alarms/Events servers send to the SAP system. It informs the system about a certain event or alarm, such as a device failure or a value that exceeds a certain value limit. Using SAP OPC Data Access SAP ODA, the SAP system can subscribe to OPC events.
