  • Key Concepts:
BOM usage indicator is a feature of the PP-DD Demand-Driven Replenishment component of SAP. It is used to indicate the usage of a Bill of Materials (BOM) in a production order. The BOM usage indicator can be set to either “A” (active) or “I” (inactive). When set to “A”, the BOM will be used in the production order. When set to “I”, the BOM will not be used in the production order.

    How to use it:
To use the BOM usage indicator, first create a production order and select the PP-DD Demand-Driven Replenishment component. Then, select the BOM that you want to use in the production order. Finally, set the BOM usage indicator to either “A” or “I” depending on whether you want to use the BOM in the production order or not.

    Tips & Tricks:
It is important to remember that setting the BOM usage indicator to “I” will not delete the BOM from the production order. It will simply prevent it from being used in the production process.
