  • Key Concepts:
The Relative Date Function in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) is a tool that allows users to enter a date relative to the current date. This means that instead of entering an exact date, users can enter a number of days, weeks, months, or years before or after the current date. This makes it easier to enter dates for future or past events.

    How to use it:
To use the Relative Date Function in SAP PM, users must first open the relevant transaction and select the field they wish to enter a date into. Then, they must click on the “Relative Date” button and enter the number of days, weeks, months, or years before or after the current date. Once this is done, the system will automatically calculate and enter the correct date into the field.

    Tips & Tricks:
When using the Relative Date Function in SAP PM, it is important to remember that the system will always calculate dates relative to the current date. Therefore, if you are entering a date for an event that happened in the past, you must enter a negative number of days, weeks, months, or years.
