Description: The linking of technical objects in a network structure. An object network can consist only of pieces of equipment or only of functional locations. Two objects are linked by an object link. An object network can be divided into sub-networks. The sub-networks do not have to be directly linked to one another. You can use object networks to structure your technical systems horizontally. &EXAMPLE& Pylons are linked by electric cables as a network. The pylons and cables are represented in the system as pieces of equipment. All the pylons and cables that are linked form the network "Electricity network." Some of the linked pylons and cables are divided into areas that are sub-networks of the network.
