What is linked object in SAP PM - Plant Maintenance?

  • Component Name: Plant Maintenance

  • Description: A technical object, that is, functional location or piece of equipment, that is connected to another technical object in an object link. &EXAMPLE& Each electric pylon that is connected by overland cable to another electric pylon.

    Linked objects are objects in the Plant Maintenance (PM) component of SAP that are connected to each other. For example, a piece of equipment can be linked to a functional location, which can be linked to a maintenance plan. This allows for easy navigation between related objects and helps to ensure that all relevant information is available in one place. 
    
    How to use it: 
    Linked objects can be created and managed in the PM component of SAP. To create a link between two objects, select the object you want to link from and then select the object you want to link to. Once the link is created, it will appear in the list of linked objects for both objects.
