Component: PLM-WUI-OBJ
Component Name: Objects in PLM Web UI
Description: An attribute of an object that determines whether the object is effective with respect to a certain date. The date can be expressed as an open interval from… or a closed interval from… to….
Key Concepts: Date effectivity is a feature in SAP's PLM Web UI Objects that allows users to set a start and end date for an object. This feature is useful for controlling the visibility of objects, as well as for setting up time-based processes. How to use it: To use date effectivity, users must first create an object in the PLM Web UI. Once the object is created, users can set a start and end date for the object. This can be done by selecting the “Date Effectivity” tab in the object’s properties window. Tips & Tricks: When setting up date effectivity, it is important to remember that the start and end dates are inclusive. This means that if an object has a start date of January 1st and an end date of January 5th, then the object will be visible from January 1st through January 5th.
