Component: PLM-WUI-APP
Component Name: PLM Web Applications
Description: A context type that owns all its objects. The opposite of compound access control context.
Key Concepts: Standard Access Control Context (SACC) is a feature of the SAP PLM Web Applications component that allows users to control access to certain parts of the system. It is based on the concept of roles and permissions, which are assigned to users based on their job responsibilities. SACC allows users to define which parts of the system they can access, and which parts they cannot. How to use it: To use SACC, users must first create roles and assign permissions to them. This can be done in the SAP PLM Web Applications component by navigating to the “Roles” tab and selecting “Create Role”. Once a role has been created, users can assign permissions to it by selecting “Assign Permissions” from the same tab. Once roles and permissions have been created, users can assign them to individual users or groups of users. This can be done in the “Users” tab by selecting “Assign Roles”. Users can also assign roles to specific objects in the system, such as documents or folders, by selecting “Assign Roles” from the object’s context menu. Tips & Tricks: When creating roles and assigning permissions, it is important to consider who will need access to what parts of the system. For example, if a user only needs access to certain documents or folders, it may be more efficient to create a role specifically for that user rather than assigning them a general role with more permissions than they need.
