• Description: Material that represents an entire product group or product hierarchy. When carrying out trials, there is not always an inspection plan available for the product to be manufactured: In some cases, it only exists for a whole product group or product category in the product hierarchy. In inspection planning in Trial Management, the system checks whether an inspection plan exists for the specified material. If no inspection plan exists, the system searches for an alternative material. You can then carry out inspection planning for the trial based on the alternative material and its inspection plan.
