  • Key Concepts:
Reassignment lock is a feature in SAP Position Budgeting and Control (PA-PM-PB) that prevents the reassignment of a position from one organizational unit to another. This feature is used to ensure that the budget for a position is not changed without authorization.

    How to use it:
To use the reassignment lock, an administrator must first activate it in the system settings. Once activated, the reassignment lock will be applied to all positions in the system. If a user attempts to reassign a position, they will be prompted to enter a password or other authentication before the reassignment can take place.

    Tips & Tricks:
It is important to remember that the reassignment lock only applies to positions and not to individual employees. Therefore, if an employee is reassigned from one position to another within the same organizational unit, the reassignment lock will not be triggered.
